Healthy Superfood Lattes for Fall & Winter


There's something about fall that makes you want to buy every sweater you see, wear the sleeves over your hands and cuddle a hot mug of coffee... the caffeine addiction becomes all too real.

We finally got some amazing rain here in California and I could not be more excited!


To be honest, I can't wait to whip out my sweater collection and make some warm, frothy spicy lattes, pop some cinnamon + clove essential oils into the diffuser, cuddle up with my pup and work from the couch.

So, in honor of the best season EVER, here are my favorite frothy latte recipes, some with caffeine, others without. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do - they are packed with health benefits and can fill you up when you're having the urge to snack on sugar. They also pair really well with my no-bake pumpkin cheesecake bars... don't say I didn't warn you!

Frothy Snickerdoodle Latte

Caffeine free

Ingredients

• 1 cup brewed Dandy Blend

• 1 tablespoon collagen peptides

• 1 tablespoon grass-fed Vanilla Ghee

• 1 teaspoon coconut butter

• 1/2 teaspoon maple syrup

• 1/2 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon powder

• ¼ teaspoon cardamom

Instructions

1 Mix all ingredients in a blender and blend until frothy, no more than 15 seconds.

Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and enjoy!


CREAMY Coconut Matcha Latte

1/2 cup warmed full-fat coconut milk

1/2 cup hot water (ideal temp 170º)

1 teaspoon Ujido matcha tea powder (use a sieve to get out clumps)

1 tsp coconut butter or grass-fed vanilla Ghee

1/2 tsp honey or xylitol

1 tablespoon collagen peptides

¼ teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon

Blend on medium for no more than 15 seconds, and enjoy! This latte contains green tea which has caffeine, so enjoy in the mid-afternoon or the morning.


Upgraded Shroom Hot Cocoa

1 packet of Mushroom Cocoa prepared with 8oz hot water

1 tablespoon grass-fed butter (I like Kerrygold)

1 teaspoon collagen peptides

1/2 tsp honey

2 tablespoons coconut milk or grass-fed cream

1 pinch of sea salt

Blend for 15 seconds and serve immediately. You won't even know there's mushrooms in there, pinky promise!


Upgraded Creamy Chai Tea Latte

½ cup warmed coconut milk (I buy on Thrive)

1/2 cup Tazo Chai black tea concentrate

1 tablespoon vanilla grass-fed ghee

Optional: 1 tsp adaptogenic mushroom blend

Heat everything together in a pot over medium heat until it begins to bubble.

Blend for 10 seconds on medium, and enjoy your supercharged spicy latte!


Pink Beetroot Latte

1/2 cup cashew milk or coconut milk (I get these from Thrive Market)

1/2 cup hot water

1 teaspoon Thrive Market beetroot powder

1 tsp honey

1/2 tsp ashwagandha

1 dash cinnamon

1 dash cardamom

Tiny pinch of sea salt

Optional: 1 tsp Pearl Butter's Beauty Butter

Whisk everything together in a pot over medium heat. Serve and enjoy your pink drink immediately!
